Eee Pad MeMo was a tablet that ASUS had come out with quite some time ago though unfortunately, none of it ever made it to the hands of consumers so far. It was a 7 inch tablet device and the first of its type from ASUS. One year down the line there is news of ASUS coming out with another 7 inch tablet which would be running on Android. Whether this would be a brand new design or is ASUS taking up where it left the MeMo off is to be seen.
Information about the new tablet device from ASUS has come from the people at Notebook Italia. They received a promotional photo of this item and by the looks and feel of it, what seems evident is that it will be a model smaller in dimension than the Transformer or the 10 inch tablet from ASUS. The speculation therefore leads to the MeMo tablet and its rebirth.
The MeMo however had a pen input to it which appears to be missing from the present tablet in discussion. Given the screen layout there is a sharp resemblance with that we see on tablets which run on the Android 3.2 Honeycomb or Android 4.0 Ice Cream OS. We have also had come to know of Asus’ intentions of launching a 3D version of the MeMo as well which was to make it to the market in 2012 and it will be interesting to see if we are finally getting to see that in real.
However, the good thing is, the CES isn’t too far off and we won’t have to wait for a lot of time before we get to see what Asus has to offer for the 7 inch segment of tablet devices.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
