Barnes and Noble will be issuing a new version of its Nook Color e-reader in a few weeks cites Taiwan News Service Digitimes. B&N has put an order in and has made over 2 million units that are going to be shipped out soon.
B&N’s CEO commented that he expected US$1 billion in digital revenues by 2013. The company will have to sell around 10 million Nook/Nook-Color units by 2012 to reach that goal.
The company can do amazing this holiday season with a new color e-reader to compete with the upcoming Amazon Kindle Tablet coming out soon. The company already as traction in the industry with NookKids, NookStudy and other important programs that make the most out of the color display.
