Delhi based company Champion Computers has just launched a new tablet aimed at the budget segment. Named WTab, the tablet is priced at a quite convenient ₹4,899 and runs Android ICS. The tablet sports a 7 inch display and is powered by a 1.5 Ghz processor with a 512 MB RAM at its disposal. On-board storage amounts to 4 GB with a microSD card slot in place that can add another 32 GB. The tablet is Wi-Fi enabled but can connect to 3G networks via USB dongle. There is a front facing camera as well though none at the rear.
“The market today is flooded with cheap tablets with questionable quality. Our strategy is not to launch the cheapest tablet but an affordable device with quality and superior performance that delights customers,” said Kapil Wadhwa, MD, Champion Computers Pvt Ltd during the launch.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
