There is a new addition to the Nextbook Premium SE tablet Series in the form of the E FUN Premium 8SE. It’s an 8 inch tablet with Android 4.0 ICS right out of the box. The tablet isn’t designed to impress with its performance characteristics, but boasts a decent spec sheet and is priced quite conveniently at $169. The display supports five point touch technology and comes pre-loaded with the Barnes & Noble NOOK Store and the GetJar App Store. There is also the Net Nanny parental control loaded on the tablet for a 14 day free trial period.
Other notable features of the tablet includes a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, along with 4 GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for more storage. All of this makes the Premium 8SE quite capable of handling 1080p quality video playback at ease. The display packs in 800 x 600 pixels with an aspect ratio of 4:3. Powering the tablet is a 4200mAh battery, which should provide for decent playback time.
The Premium 8SE has support for Flash 11 and will be able to accept over-the-air updates so that the tablet’s firmware remains up to date at all times. Other features of the tablet include a front facing camera, G-Sensor that allows for auto screen rotation, a mini USB 2.0 port, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Jason Liszewski, managing director and vice president of sales for E FUN, said, “With superb image clarity, fast response time, and loads of features, they are just what their name indicates: Premium. They make an excellent step-up addition to our existing line of Nextbook products, which have proven very popular with users and industry observers alike.”
The California based E FUN is also targeting Father’s Day with the tablet’s launch. “We are very excited about our expanded Nextbook Premium SE Series of tablet computers, just in time for Father’s Day and graduation,” said Jason Liszewski.
While the Nextbook Premium SE won’t bring home any performance awards, the tablet still makes sense as a decent buy for those who are on the lookout for an affordable tablet that will also serve as a nice e-book reader. Priced at just $169, there are more reasons to pick up the tablet than just Father’s Day.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
