Tablet devices are all set to become the hottest selling gift item during this holiday season and among the many manufacturers rushing with their tablet PC plans is Fluid Computer Systems. However, its a Windows tablet this time and not another running Google Android. The company is right now busy preparing a thousand of the said tablets and is in fact working extremely hard to make sure the tablets are ready just in time to catch the holiday shopping crowd.
As for the tablets themselves, these will sport a 10.1 inch display and will have complete Flash support. An Intel Atom processor, 1 GB of RAM along with 160 GB of storage make up the inside story. The tablet, named Fluid Stream includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options and will come with a $599 sticker.
There is another version in the making too that will cost $699 more and will include a 3G modem. However, that is for the post holiday season as the earliest the Fluid Motion, as is so named, is expected to storm markets is during February 2011.
So its Fluid Stream to celebrate Christmas this year while if you want to celebrate the coming of spring, its got to be Fluid Motion. And as for the other big comparison that perhaps any tablet in the 10 inch category will have to face, the iPad and how good the two Fluid’s are going to fare against the Apple offering, well let’s not jump the gun just yet.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
