Research in Motion for the last month has been giving sizable discounts on their Playbook Tablet. It had all the of necessary hardware, like a dual-core processor and HDMI, to warrant a second look from most people, but the absence of email and calender support was a deal breaker. We have seen retailers like Best Buy, Radio Shack, and others discount it to $199. Today the company announced it was now giving the 16 GB edition away for free to new customers signing up for their Enterprise service. This free tablet will not last very long and will run until December 31, 2011.
