Here are some more details of the stylish new Windows tablet from Fujitsu coming in, including that all important price and availability info as well. The Stylistic Q550 slate PC will be there to be picked up from this spring onwards and for a price that’s below $800.
However, if the price seems to be a bit on the higher side, that’s because the tablet also packs in some premium content. To begin with, the Stylistic Q550 is not one meant for retail use but will find wide applicability anywhere from hospitals, industries to the office. The tablet also comes with features that is not seen in tablet PC too often. For instance, the Stylistic Q550 slate PC includes a fingerprint sensor, SmartCard reader, full disk encryption, along with an optional Trusted Platform Module as well. All these are in addition to the usual features found in many a table such as 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 along with 3G and GPS as optional extras.
These apart, the 10.1 inch tablet with an IPS display and with wide viewing angles is based on the new generation Intel Atom Oak Trail processor with 32 bit Windows 7 Professional being the default operating system. The capacitive touchscreen is anti-glare and is receptive to both pen as well as capacitive multi touch input. It comes with 2 GB of memory while on board storage is either 32 or 64 GB.
As far as external connectivity is concerned, the Stylistic Q550 includes a USB 2.0 port, SD card slot, HDMI port, a headphone jack, and a dock connector. The 1.5 pounds tablet packs in 2 or 4 cell user replaceable battery that is good for 8 hours of tablet operation.
Expect to catch up with more of the Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 tablet at the upcoming CeBIT event.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
