The HP TouchPad story has been just amazing so far. When the WebOS tablet was first launched, there weren’t many takers of the same. HP dropped the price down to $99 and the TouchPad suddenly become the rage worldwide. So much that all existing stocks of the same gets vanished in no time. Now with that being the situation, UK retailer PC World has surprised all by offering the TouchPad all over again.
However, the price is no where near the $99 bargain offer that had sparked a buying frenzy hitherto only seem in case of the iPad. So its £249.99 or about $398 that is needed to bring home a brand new 32 GB TouchPad, the price being inclusive of a wireless charging dock and case. The 16 GB version is already sold out which shows consumer interest in an otherwise dead product is still going strong. This in spite of there being considerable confusion if HP will remain committed to the WebOS platform or whether the TouchPad would be a good match to the Android operating system.
Also, there is no information as of now from where the UK retailer got its stocks from though its unlikely to be the new batch of TouchPad tablet PCs now being manufactured. Rather, it might be from the old batch and which the retailer might have held on to while others participated in the fire sale that saw the TouchPad vanish from store shelves in no time.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
