The Flyer might not be the only tablet HTC has up its sleeve to pamper the tablet loving crowd in the coming days. Rather, there seems to be a second tablet PC as well. What is more exciting is that the tablet will come with 4G WiMAX capabilities built into it right from day one with Sprint being the carrier partner. Supposedly named the HTC Evo View, the tablet though lacks the official seal of approval from both HTC and Sprint that would have, otherwise erased the last iota of doubt about the tablet.
Unfortunately, that is not to be though there are some strong indications that does make us to believe there is something in it after all. Like HTC’s recent trademark filing for the term ‘HTC Evo View 4G’. Then there is the term ‘tablet computers‘ that too is included in the trademark filing and it can well be assumed its a full fledged tablet PC and not a smartphone that we are dealing with here.
Sprint comes into the picture as they are the only carrier that make use of the word ‘Evo.’ Top that up with the fact that Sprint had earlier made it known they will be coming up with a 4G tablet sometime during 2011. So all of the bits and pieces of the puzzle seem to add up to a single fact, the first WiMAX tablet that might be headed to the CTIA 2011 trade show for its official unveiling.
But then, there are also other possibilities that provide a entirely new twist to the tale. For it might not be a new tablet at all but the Sprint’s version of the HTC Flyer that we are looking forward to with keen interest.
So until we get the low down on this mystery at the CTIA, we can only speculate.
