Asus had promised the update to Android 4.0 ICS for the first gen Transformer soon after it has made available the same for the Transformer Prime. With the company already having committed to the latter, its time we expect the update for the Transformer devices to be released as well. Towards this, Asus has stated the much awaited update is due anytime now, with it being already almost ready for release and is only awaiting Google’s final nod before it goes public with it.
“Once that is done, we will be able to push it out to you guys, reveal Asus in reply to a Facebook query.
Google is reported to be giving the update a once over before it is officially announced. The update is important for the Transformer as it will make available a number of features to its users that so far is exclusive to Transformer Prime owners.
Meanwhile, in another development, Asus has acknowledged something is amiss somewhere so that their recently released update to Android 4.0 for the Transformer Prime is failing to recognize many of the tablet’s serial numbers. It further stated they have been successful in recreating the problem and have started with the development of a suitable fix. Asus though hasn’t stated when the fix is going to be made available.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
