Japan was destined to be the first country to have the LG Optimus Pad and as per the latest estimates, this is no change in the schedule as of now.
“There’s no reason to believe there will be any delay from our previous estimate,” said Ken Hong, a Seoul-based LG spokesman.
NTT Docomo, the exclusive carrier partner for the Optimus Pad in that country had already started accepting pre-orders for the tablet from March 15 with deliveries slated to begin from the end of this month. Japanese folks will surely like to know there is no change in that even as the nation right now is one of its deepest crisis in recent times. If the wide spread destruction to both human lives and property inflicted upon the country by the earthquake followed by a huge tsunami was not enough, Japan is not having to deal with widespread snowfall that is hampering relief work along with a potentially catastrophic nuclear situation.
It can be mentioned here that Apple has earlier postponed its plans to launch the iPad 2 in that country. The new gen iPad was scheduled to land in Japan on March 25 but that has been pushed back indefinitely.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
