If a recent post at the Grand Rapids Best Buy Facebook page is to be believed, its February 24th that would go down in Motorola’s history. The light at the end of the tunnel in the development phase of the XOOM tablet PC and their first tablet offering will begin its much awaited commercial journey. Not surprisingly, the post has since then been amended so that the specific release dates of the XOOM tablet is no more. It is a good thing the boys at DroidLife did their due diligence and grabbed a screenshot of it.
Now the tablet is historic for the reason the XOOM will be the first serious tablet attempt from the company that has already build up a formidable reputation in the smartphone segment. This apart, the XOOM will also be the first tablet to come pre-installed with Google Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
So what remains to be seen now if the Feb 24 deadline is met. Motorola had already made it known the tablet will be released this month and many people are eagerly anticipating the product launch.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
