There is a new update for Jelly Bean which changes its designation to Android 4.1.2 from the 4.1.1 it currently is. However, before anyone get’s too excited with expectations of new feature additions and such, Google’s chief release engineer Jean-Baptiste Queru has stated the update as a minor one with performance enhancements and stability as it primary objective. Then there are the usual bug fixes built in as well. However what makes the update significant is the fact that future Nexus 7 versions will incorporate a new power chip that won’t be compatible with the current Android 4.1.1. In the meantime, the update will make it possible to change orientation of home screen of 7 inch tablet devices from portrait to landscape mode.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
