Before you start jumping for joy, this are what the rumor mills are churning out these days and nothing is confirmed as yet. But what seems most interesting is that the next iPad to come out of the Apple orchard is getting neck deep in rumors with each passing day. First there were reports of a smaller 5 and 7 inch iPad to be in the making and is predicted to be launched at the height of the festive season. Hardly had that settled down when came the news of a whole new iPad to be in the making, not one that has been scaled down in size but entirely of 9.7 inches and would be a direct replacement of the current iPad.
Then in between these came the unconfirmed reports of added features being added to the iPad like a front facing camera, a lighter form factor to even a mini USB port. There are also reports of a new improved processor at the heart of the new iPad.
Now if all of these is creating a web of rumor around what is to come next from Apple after the immensely successful iPad, well here is the most plausible scenario. A new scaled down iPad with 5 and 7 inch screens and a better resolution is likely to be launched just in time to cash in on the festive season. This will also enable Apple to have a contender in place in the 7 inch category of tablets that is fast turning out to be the new red hot battle zone after the entry of Samsung Galaxy Tab and the BlackBerry PlayBook.
This is likely to be followed by the 9.7 inch completely new iPad that will perhaps be ready by the spring of 2011 and will have all that is so famously missing in the iPad, such as an integrated camera or a USB port.
All in all, what seems certain is that the coming winter is likely to be hottest in recent times. So keep watching to find how how things pan out in the coming months.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
