The NoteSlate had shown a lot of promise when it was first unveiled in February. But then, there has been a lot of other tablet PCs that made a similar type of big bang entry, only to fizzle out later on and never heard of afterwards.
Well, the NoteSlate could have been counted among those ‘lost’ tablet concepts except for a recent Twitter update from the company claiming they are there on track. Even the company website seems to have vanished into thin air, which led to many to believe the NoteSlate was nothing more than vaporware.
The Twitter update though has some reassuring words saying the official company site would be back up next month. Also, when that happens, the company will have some good news to share. No word though if that means some definitive information about the NoteSlate, like when and if it will finally be released. The tablet was earlier pegged to be ready for a release during June 2011.
Another area where there is considerable confusion is whether the $99 price tag will remain in place. NoteSlate initially promised the sub $100 price tag for the 13 inch note taking tablet that boasts of a two tone display. The price though seems quite unlikely at this time. However, some also speculate there might also be the option of a monochrome display or a grayscale screen for a bit more of color depth on offer on the NoteSlate.
So those who have been waiting for the note taking tablet NoteSlate, get to wait until next month when the company will update us with all that it has been up to.
The other option will be to go for the Boogie Board Paperless LCD Writing Tablet. At least that’s available right now.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
