Samsung has come up with the pricing and availability details of the larger Galaxy Tab 2 tablet. The successor to the original and well received 7 inch Galaxy Tab, the 10.1 inch Galaxy Tab 2 will hit the streets in the US on the 8th of June with price starting at a quite affordable $499. The price also puts the Galaxy Tab 2 slam bang in iPad 2 territory as the new Apple tablet also starts at $499 for the Wi-Fi only model sporting 16 GB of storage though is $100 less than the Motorola XOOM with which it shares a lot of similarity. The Wi-Fi only 32 GB XOOM is priced at $599 though might come down to more competitive levels if the Galaxy Tab 2 gets off to a solid start.
Here is what the Galaxy Tab 2 Wi-Fi will cost:
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 16 GB – $499
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 32 GB – $599
There is no information though as to when the 3G version will be lunched or what it will cost.

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
