Samsung is gearing up to compete against the Apple iPad Pro, with a new model that will be released sometime in the next few months. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will have a fingerprint sensor that can be used on the entire screen for purchases made on Google Play. It will be running Android 9.0, so it will have the latest version of the OS. The display will employ Super AMOLED panel and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 processor.
There will be tons of storage for media and PDF files; 128GB and 256GB storage variants, which will support microSD cards up to 512GB as well. The amount of RAM is not finalized yet, but it should have between 6GB or 8GB.
The tablet will have a great system for photography. It will be using a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP ultra-wide sensor at the back. For selfies and video conferencing, there will be an 8-megapixel snapper on the front.
The tablet will come with Samsung DeX support that lets you turn the Tab S6 into a full desktop by connecting it to a monitor and keyboard, as well as new S Pen stylus that attaches to the tablet magnetically. Bixby support is also included, as is the ability to sync calls and messages between your tablet and your phone. The tablet will also let you control connected smart home products via the SmartThings built-in app.
Samsung will announce this new tablet at their Galaxy event in the first two weeks of August and we should know more about the price.
