Barnes and Noble is running a promotion for their Avengers digital graphic novels that nets you a hefty discount on a new tablet. When you buy any two Avengers Graphic Novels from its online comic store, you will receive an email within 24 hours giving you the details on how to use the discount code to get a solid $30 savings on a new Nook Tablet.
Barnes and Noble currently has two versions of its latest Nook Tablet which was a followup to their wildly successful Nook Color. You can get the 8 GB version of the tablet for $199 and it has slightly less RAM than the 16 GB version that retails for $250.00.
So how much do Avengers comics actually cost and is it a deal? For the biggest discount, you can buy both “New Avengers, Volume 2: The Sentry” and “Dark Avengers, Volume 2: Molecule Man” for $6.99 each. That will save you about $15 on the final purchase of the Nook Tablet. This promotion is basically being run as a tie-in for the upcoming Avengers film coming out in a few weeks, which I am very excited about!
Recently Barnes and Noble opened their own digital comic store to sell graphic novels, but single issues are notiously absent from their store. They also do not sell any digital versions of DC Comics, which is a shame because the company has agreements to sell their wares on the Amazon Kindle Fire and Kobo Vox.
