Tablet fans in Germany who look forward to the Tablet S have been spared the lengthy pre-order process. Instead, Sony has ensured the tablet can be procured right away for €578.99, which comes out to about $599. That is the price of the 32 GB version of the Tablet S, while the entry level 16 GB version of the tablet will be off bounds for the time being. Sony hasn’t stated when the Tablet S with 16 GB will be made available. Also, that’s about a week earlier than those in the US will be getting the much awaited tablet. This since the Tablet S is slated for a September 16 launch in the US.
The Tablet S will be Sony’s first tablet attempt and will pitch it directly against the market leading Apple iPad. While all initial impressions of the tablet have been positive, it remains to be seen how people react to the latest high profile tablet launch.
