We are in Taipei for Computex and there are many new tablets we are checking out over a few short hours, but a quick Google Search noted something quite provocative in the Sprint Camp. It seems Sprint set up a page evident while Google Searching about the new Playbook 4G WIMAX model due out during the summer time.
You can verify this information yourself on the new Sprint Playbook 4G by typing in “Sprint Playbook” in Google, and it is the number one unsponsored result. Although the product page takes you somewhere else, you can see it is clearly in development.
The Playbook has been out for the last 3 months and has had some ups and downs in terms of people’s thoughts on the device. It did not ship with BBM, Email, or other critical support, but did release the Blackberry Bridge which allows you to ride your Blackberry smartphone to access your data.
