The upcoming Nigerian Tablet PC by Encipher we reported on last month was code named “the one” and now has a formal name unveiled today “Inye”
Now you may be asking yourself what does Inye Mean? Well in the Igala language, it means “1”.
The core mechanics of the this new slate is a paltry VIS8505 400MHz CP processor, 512 MB of RAM, and only 16GB of flash storage. Although with the processor, and the 800×400 LCD resolution it might not be enough to run HDMI, although the device does have a HDMI port. If you are looking at the internet aspect of the device it has 3G and WI-FI. Finally, it has
2 USB 2.0 ports in order to plug in flash drives, or external keyboards.
The operating system is Google Android 1.6 codenamed Donut. This is a tremendous drawback as Google 2.1 OS seems to be the new device industry standard.
