As has already been mentioned, Huawei has quite a few goodies to show off at the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona. These include the Ideos S7 Slim and Ideos S7 Pro though the Ideos range from the premier Chinese company also includes the Ideos X3 smartphone.
However, while the S7 Pro tablet remains shrouded in mystery, things are slightly better with the S7 Slim. So we know of a few bits and pieces of the Slim tablet like its got a 7 inch 800 x 480 resolution capacitive touch screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1Ghz processor. The tablet has a 512 MB RAM and includes 3G, WiFi 11n as well as Bluetooth connectivity options. The tablet is also quite compact with external dimensions measuring just 210 x 109 x 12.5 mm. The S7 Slim’s weight too is commensurate with its compact dimensions as it weight just 440g.
These apart, the tablet will have a Micro SD and SIM card slot along with a HDMI and USB port. The Slim is also capable of playing back 720p videos and comes with a Hi-Fi audio player. Expected date of release of the S7 Slim is around April with a price tag of less than $300. In fact, with a sub $300 price tag, the S7 Slim can be the tablet of choice for those who wish to have a great looking 3G tablet with decent performance and excellent multimedia capability.
Lastly, about the S7 Pro, the only few bits available of the tablet include a 1.2 GHz dual core CPU, integrated cameras at the front and rear, HSPA+, and WiFi 802.11bgn. The tablet is better off than the S7 Slim in that it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread compared to the Android Froyo that the Slim run.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
