The new iPad and the iPad 1 HD Video Comparison Review

March 18, 2012 By Michael Kozlowski 4 Comments

Welcome to another exclusive Good e-Reader Video Review! Today we check out the video capabilities in the New Apple iPad and the original iPad 1. The purpose of this video is to give you a demonstration of an HD Video Streaming from iTunes to gauge how both models measure up. The main selling point behind the new iPad is the fact it has a great retina display. How good is it? Can you determine what iPad in this video is the latest generation?

I assume the new iPad is on the right in the video.  Couldn’t tell much difference through the video, but the one on the left had less abrupt transitions, images seemed saturated, and the fonts were a bit blurry.  One on the right was very smooth on the cuts, and while I couldn’t see a quality difference, it didn’t seem over saturated.  Not sure if it was the angle and/or location of the camera, but the fonts on the right seemed more crisp.

Assuming I’m right, I couldn’t see -enough- difference to warrant purchase if the new iPad.  Until I see some concrete gaming benchmarks, I’m reserving my final opinion.
