Now the latest from the XOOM front is pointing towards a $699 price point for the first Honeycomb tablet. This forms part of the ongoing XOOM series where we have seen the Motorola tablet to be hogging the headlines earlier with news of the tablet having a Minimum Advertised Pricing of $799 according to a leaked Verizon internal document followed by another leak in which we have seen the Motorola XOOM in a Best Buy location where it is being held out to be ready for a February 17 release.
Any which way it is, a price reduction to the tune of $100 is always a good thing any time of the day. And what is also good is the fact that a $700 price tag for the XOOM tablet will make it a good $30 cheaper than the compable 32 GB 3G capable iPad.
However, what’s not clear as of now if the $700 price is the unsubsidized sim free price of the Motorola tablet or it comes along with any time bound carrier plans. The tablet is expected to be official on the 17 of next month and things will be on a solid footing then. However, while there is still some time for that, how about another leak that brings the price down to $599?

With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
