Amazon is shuttering their domestic e-commerce marketplace business in China. Shoppers in China will no longer be able to buy goods from other third-party merchants , but they still will be able to order from the United States, United Kingdom, Denmark and Japan via Amazon’s global store.
Amazon.cn will continue to operate normally and this means that the millions of Kindles Amazon has sold will continue to work. This also includes the Kindle Migu X, which was the first Kindle to have two digital bookstores, the Amazon bookstore the Migu, which allows customers to pay with their China Mobile Account or via a credit card. The future is also bright for the Kindle Unlimited program and Prime Reading.
