Good e-Reader is live in Taipei, Taiwan for Computex 2011 and we are getting geared up for the largest computer trade show in Asia! What does that mean for our loyal readers? Many new e-readers will be written up here and tons of tablets as well! Asus will be showing off their new tablets and rumor has it Sony and Samsung will be in attendance with their goods.
Today I took a tour of Taiwan and visited many of the sites and sounds that makes this island country great! I checked out various War Memorials and Art Galleries. Why travel to report news for a living if you can’t take time and smell the roses.
So far I have noticed the people here are amazing. There is also a super high concentration of scooters everywhere. Today I saw a 80 year old couple riding on one with two kids and a dog, and this was a small scooter. I also observed that there is a 7-11 on virtually every block and and I found myself quaffing many a Slurpee to take the edge off of the high temperatures. When you live your life in Canada, these very hot countries can be quite stifling.
Below are many pictures I took of various places I visited today and I am super excited to spend the week here getting all of the latest news on tablets and e-readers! So if new technology is your thing, stay tuned all week long to the Good e-Reader blog. Three of our team members are here – Nick, Markus, and myself – and we have a ton of interviews lined up with Hanvon, Asus, Sony, Samsung, and many others.
