We have been working very hard during the last month to bring you the latest major update to the Good e-Reader Android App Store Client! There is a ton of new features to be found in the latest build.
Many of the graphical elements of the app store client have been drastically overhauled! We have added new icons and a new banner that falls in line with the new look of our web based store. We have also implemented a brand new progress bar that will show you how much longer a particular download will take and give you a sense of how long you will have to wait for the actual installation. Once a download is completed, the text has been changed to “installed.” When an app or game you downloaded is due for an update, you will be notified with a small red flag on the top right hand corner, under “My Apps.”
Searching for content is dramatically enhanced for tablets and it is easier than ever before to search for apps or games we have in our store. We have also increased the number of apps that show up on your main home-screen, popular apps, and new apps! Our payment gateway has also been revised. You can now pay for apps and games directly through our website and app client. All purchases go directly to the app developer and is done exclusively through our store, so no need to open an internet browser.
The web store has also received a minor makeover with new slideshow images and a new branding image to promote it! On the right hand corner is our dynamic new Top Apps sections that give you a sense of the most popular e-reading apps, comic apps, and Playbook apps. We have also organized the main store page to give you a sense of the Newest Apps and Top Apps for both Android and the Playbook.
We have added almost 132 new features in this latest build of the Good e-Reader App Store for Android! It is fully compatible with all tablets and phones running Android 2.1, 2.2, 2.3., and 4.0+ devices. We currently have over 1300 Android Apps and 875 Playbook apps. You can join in on the fun today and download it for free from Google Play or via our own Good e-Reader App Store.
