There is a new tablet in the offing and it’s named Eros 2. This should also give you an inkling of what it’s all about, since if there is an Eros 2, there should have been an Eros as well. There definitely was an Eros tablet running the Windows 7 OS that was launched in January. Eros had also won much acclaim for its impressive features, which also can be an indication of still better things to expect from the new Eros 2.
Eros 2 satiates the desire for “better now!” with an increase in screen real estate, as the latest in the Eros family comes with a bigger 1366 x 768 pixel resolution 11.6 inches screen, which is bigger than the Eros’ screen that measured 10.1 inches.
On the inside you’ll find it’s Intel ruling the roost, an Intel Atom N450 processor to be specific. Then there is also the option of an Atom N450+ION2 or even a Celeron SU2300 chipset. RAM and ROM figures stand at 1GB and 16 GB respectively. Among the other features that the EROS 2 includes is a HDMI output along with 3 USB ports while the entire hi-tech gadgets adds up to weigh almost a kilo.
Battery life for a mobile device can often be the most important deciding factor and its for this that the makers of EROS 2 have included a powerful 4600mAh battery in the tablet. Sure the battery contributes significantly to the weight of the tablet but it also endows it with 3 hours of running time even in the wake of intensive web browsing.
And lastly, coming to the other important decisive factor when purchasing a tablet PC – the cost of the tablet.
The EROS 2 with the N450 CPU is the cheapest of the lot at $447.
The same with Atom N450+ION2 will set you back by $552,
The EROS 2 with Celeron SU2300 is the costliest of the trio at $588.
The EROS 2 is likely to make its debut in a month.
With a keen interest in tech, I make it a point to keep myself updated on the latest developments in technology and gadgets. That includes smartphones or tablet devices but stretches to even AI and self-driven automobiles, the latter being my latest fad. Besides writing, I like watching videos, reading, listening to music, or experimenting with different recipes. The motion picture is another aspect that interests me a lot, and I'll likely make a film sometime in the future.
