Amazon has just announced an all-new Amazon Fire HD 8 which is now available for pre-order for $99 and will begin shipping on October 4! It features a vibrant 8-inch widescreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 with over a million pixels and bright, vivid picture. It is powered by a Quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and 1.5GB of RAM. There are two different storage configurations, 16GB or 32GB, plus support for up to 400 GB more via expandable storage. Audiobooks and music will sound good with Dolby Atmos Audio for dynamic range and you will be able to take selfies via the 720p front-facing camera and 2MP rear-facing camera.
Amazon also introduced the new Fire HD 8 Kids Edition, which comes bundled with a Fire HD 8 tablet, 32 GB of internal storage, up to 10 hours of battery life, a year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, a kid-proof case, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee—only $129.99. The Fire HD 8 Kids Edition also brings kid-friendly Audible books to FreeTime Unlimited, and introduces a new FreeTime design with dedicated rows based on content type, making it easier for kids to find their favorite titles.
Will you buy the new Fire? There is not much difference between this model and the one from last year.
