Viewsonic to soon launch a 5 inch Tablet PC

While we already know Viewsonic has already started off with development work on a 7 inch along with 2 devices in the 10 inch category of tablets, what came as a surprise is that the company is also willing to test waters in the 5 inch category of tablets as well. This will bring Viewsonic in direct contention with Archos and Dell who have tablet PCs in this segment, though without brand recognition like Dell’s, the going might be a bit tough for Viewsonic. However, the company has stated their intended market with the mini tablet is in the emerging markets of Southeast Asia.
