WebOS 2.0 Update due later this year and more Palm News
ByFormer CEO of Palm Jon Rubinstein confirmed that the WebOS 2.0 will be released later this year. Although he did not confirm a specific release date, we estimate that it should be out around October. Although there are no details on what the updated operating system will entail, we will continue to monitor any news regarding this system.
This will be good news for the HP Hurricane webOS driven Slate PC that is rumored to come out around Christmas.
In other Palm news CEO Mark Hurd has confirmed that Palm will be relegated to being a sub brand of HP and will not be its own antonymous unit. He confirmed that Palm will be in the same category as Envy, iPAQ and Pavillion has brands that have been synonymous with HP.
