Kindle Manage Your Content and Devices Page has New Features

There is a new column that lists the number of devices that each books is downloaded to. If you click on the number a popup will show exactly which Kindle devices and apps the book has been downloaded to, and when you click the device it will show a list of all the content on that specific device and let you remove it. Amazon has also revised the layout of the devices page. You can select each individual device or app that you have registered to your Amazon account, and if you click on it you can view a page with more information about the device.

Apple News+ running a free promotion in the US

Apple News+ is the subscription platform where you can read premium news article stories from major newspaper publishers and also read thousands of digital magazines. Apple is gearing up to release new audio stories when iOS 13.6 comes out soon and is running a new promotion for users who have tried the service and canceled their subscriptions. The new deal offers previous customers another free month.

Hardcover and Paperback Sales are Surging in 2020

Print sales in the United States are enjoying robust sales in the first six months of 2020. Hardcover and Paperbacks increased by 2.8% and sold 322.1 million copies.  Considering most bookstores were only open for a limited time this year, the vast majority were placed via online ordering.

Supernote A6X is available for pre-order

Supernote has unveiled their first new device of 2020, the Supernote A6X. This device is a huge upgrade from the Supernote A6 Agile, which came out last year. It has a quad-core processor, a large amount of RAM and is running Android. The retail price is $359, but you can pre-order it from the Good e-Reader Store for $299, it ships out August 10th.

Amazon is discontinuing the Kindle Cloud Reader?

The Kindle Cloud Reader has been a viable browser based reading solution since 2011. You can read ebooks via all major internet browsers for desktop, mobile and tablets. Many people read comics, graphic novels, and ebooks when they are at work or school, since many organizations do not block it.  Over the course of the past week, Amazon has been pulling features away from it and it looks like it is on the verge of being discontinued.
