Waterstones is going to start increasing employee wages in April
Waterstones CEO James Daunt, who is also the CEO of Barnes and Noble, announced that he would implement a 6.2% pay rise for all Waterstones employees, starting on April the 1st. Ebooks account for 7.7% of Hachettes Revenue in 2019
Hachette has just announced that in 2019 the publishing company generated €2.38 billion, which is a 5% increase since 2018. Digital books accounted for 7.7% of the publishers revenue, which means the format made around €83 million for the year.
