The Association of American Publishers has just released new data that does not paint a rosy picture for the future of e-books. The digital format fell 2.7% in the first quarter of 2016. Sainsburys has announced that they are closing their digital bookstore on October 1st and the service will totally be shut off at the end of November. Barnes and Noble Experiences a $7.9 Million Loss on the Nook
Barnes and Noble has just announced their latest financial results and things continue to look dire for the Nook. The bookseller generated $41 million for Nook branded hardware, accessories and e-books, but after expenses they ended up losing $7.9 million, which was an overall decline of 24.5% on the quarter.
